BIKE RENTAL - Kona Lanai Mountain Bike

We all remember our first mountain bike. For many of us it was a bike like the Lana’i. Affordable enough not to feel too risky but stocked with components that give you the freedom to explore off-road. The Lana’i features integrated shifters and brake levers to streamline the cockpit and is now available in three wheel sizes: 26" for size XS, 27.5" for S and M, and 29" for L and XL. With an 8-speed drivetrain, grippy disc brakes and a 100mm travel fork, the Lana’i is the perfect way to taste what real singletrack riding has to offer.

Requires a $300 pre-auth on a credit card and signed waiver.  The credit card pre-auth is fully refunded once the bike is returned.

Rental Period

• Daily rentals are normally valid from 24 hours of the time of pickup (OR until store closing on the scheduled return date if previously arranged by 3ride)
• Overnight rentals are available when reserved in advance.
• Late returns may be subject to an additional day's rental fee.

Identification & Security Deposit

A valid government-issued photo ID and a major credit card are required for all rentals. A pre-authorized security deposit may be placed on your credit card and released upon the timely return of the bicycle in its original condition. This is standard practice among many Canadian bike rental shops.

Rider Responsibility

The renter accepts full responsibility for the bicycle during the rental period, including loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear and tear. Bikes should never be left unlocked or unattended.

Safety

Helmets are strongly recommended for all riders and are required by law for riders under 18 years of age in Ontario. Please obey all traffic laws and ride responsibly.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Weather

Light rain does not qualify for a refund. In the event of severe weather, we will gladly work with you to reschedule your reservation when possible.

Mechanical Issues

While every bicycle is professionally inspected and serviced prior to each rental, bicycles may occasionally require adjustments or experience issues during use. 3Ride Bicycle Co. is not liable for delays, interruptions, or lost rental time resulting from rider-caused mechanical issues, punctures, crashes, improper use, or damage occurring after the bicycle has been released to the renter. If you experience a mechanical problem during your rental, contact us immediately. Please do not attempt major repairs. We will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

*Please note that flat tires occurring during the rental are not considered a "mechanical issue" but rather a wear & tear issue. Flat tires are considered a normal risk associated with cycling. As the bicycle is under the renter's care and control during the rental period, 3Ride Bicycle Co. cannot be held responsible for interruptions to your ride, lost rental time, or any associated costs resulting from punctures or flats caused during use. No refunds or extensions will be provided for time lost due to flat tires.

Availability:

Rental bicycles are available on a first-come, first-served basis unless reserved in advance. Specific models cannot always be guaranteed, but we will provide a comparable bicycle whenever possible.
